Massage, whether in a chair or on a table has many benefits! Reducing anxiety, increase circulation, relaxation and many more. Massages, as with many volunteer activities, give the Veteran an outlet to open up and share issues that may be on his/her mind.
Providing massage for Veterans is an honor and a privilege says Laura Balun, United Vetetans Services (UVS) Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service (VAVS) Representative for DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center (DCVAMC).
